G A BUTLER & SONS was started in 1996 by Graham Butler (who has over 40 years experience in tree surgery) and his two sons Luke and Stephen. All staff are fully trained to NPTC standards and hold certificates of competence. They are very well equipped with the latest tree surgery plant and tools, which includes a 26m Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP or ‘Cherry Picker’).

The vehicles are kitted out with a complete range of specialist tools to carry out any tree surgery job. We are fully insured and offer no obligation free quotes. No job is too big and no local job too small.

Vehicle & Tool Hire

G A Butler & Sons Ltd have a small fleet of Mobile Elevated Work Platform / Cherry Picker (MEWP) and wood chippers, these are available for hire and include:

  • 26 metre (85') truck mounted: This machine is the ultimate 'Cherry Picker' for dead or dangerous trees which are unsafe to climb (only available with an operator);
  • 6.5 metre (21’) self propelled: Using this machine is the quickest way to clear over hanging roadside branches, you can treble your daily production;
  • 9 metre (30’) trailer mounted: Towed behind a small truck. If you need to get a ‘cherry picker’ through a house this is the tool for the job;
  • 11.5 metre (38’) trailer mounted: This ‘cherry picker’ can be towed behind a small truck and is very useful for reducing conifer hedges;
  • 230mm (9") trailer mounted 28hp wood chipper. 230mm (9") trailer mounted 50hp wood chipper.
